We advocate for tax relief policies that are targeted, fiscally responsible, and fair to all Chatham residents. During community engagement initiatives, we emphasize that tax relief should assist those who genuinely need it—not everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This approach ensures that our efforts align with the values of Chatham events and the needs of our community.
We're Chatham residents—both year-round and part-time—who united in response to the proposed tax relief policies. While we may be new to this specific issue, we are not strangers to community engagement. Our members have actively participated in Chatham events, served on town committees, testified at meetings, and volunteered for decades.
We track Select Board meetings and Chatham events, research solutions from other Massachusetts towns, develop alternative tax relief policies, and engage with stakeholders through community engagement. Our work is data-driven, transparent, and focused on finding better solutions—not just blocking relief.
